Golf Registration

 

Golf activities are open for all participants, family members and guests of the conference.

The Golf Registration Fee (please complete and send registration forms) includes the following for each of two official golf tournaments held during the conference:

  • greens fees
  • cart
  • deli lunches prior to the tournaments
  • prizes

 

The SBC Scramble - Thursday afternoon at Catalina Golf Course, 1:30 pm shotgun start. This event is onsite at the Omni Tucson Resort. The scramble format is designed both for the serious and not so serious golfers. Cost will be $80 per player which includes prizes, green fees, cart & practice balls. Clubs can also be rented for $37.14. Please pay for the rental clubs at the course on your own.

The SBC Open - Friday afternoon at Sonoran Golf Course which is also on the property at Omni Tucson Resort, 1:00 shotgun start. Cost will be $80 per player which includes prizes, green fees, cart & practice balls. Golfers will be playing their own ball on this course and different flights will be assigned based on your handicap. Clubs can also be rented for $37.14. Please pay for the rental clubs at the course on your own.

In each event, prizes will be awarded for the longest drive and closest to the pin on selected holes. Team prizes will be given to the top teams in the SBC Scramble. Flight champions will also receive awards in the SBC Open. Mulligans will be on sale again this year.

An unnofficial event - Saturday afternoon at the Catalina Golf Course, 1:30 pm. This event can fill 3-4 foursomes but need to know well in advance . Fees will be paid individually at the course. Please contact Doug Smith ASAP dcsmith@siu.edu if you are planning to play.

Those wishing to play golf prior to the meeting (Monday-Wednesday) should contact the course in advance. Identify yourself as a member of the Spring Brain Conference for special rates. You may also contact the Golf Chair, Doug Smith (dcsmith@siu.edu) to see if/when other groups are playing.
